AMD has put together this montage of market and technology statistics, mentioning IDC’s forecasts of cloud computing’s role by 2020 being a data intermediary or hub in the majority of systems.
This montage is full of interesting statistics and worth checking out. Consider the implications of these stats on the need to stay ahead of technologies that can quickly bring meaning to the mass of data being generated.
The bottom line is that the need for staying current on analytics, business intelligence, data mining and linguistic modeling using cloud-based data is going to accelerate in importance faster than anyone expects.
